Q&A
Some of the most commonly asked questions
Why do you focus on midlife professionals?
Midlife is often a powerful point of recalibration. Many professionals at this stage have built meaningful careers, families, and responsibilities, yet find themselves quietly questioning what comes next. This stage carries complexity, experience, and high stakes. It also holds extraordinary potential for intentional change. I understand this phase both professionally and personally and I believe it deserves thoughtful, structured support.
Do you only work on career transitions?
No.
While many clients come to me for career clarity or redundancy support, I also work with people navigating:
-
Identity shifts
-
Leadership evolution
-
Confidence challenges
-
Relationship transitions
-
Life redesign
The common thread is not the topic, it’s the readiness to move forward with clarity and sustainable change.
What’s the difference between coaching and therapy?
Therapy often focuses on healing past trauma, diagnosing and treating mental health conditions, and understanding patterns in depth. Coaching is forward-focused. It is about clarity, direction, and aligned action. That said, I use NLP and Time Line Therapy®, which may involve working with past experiences, but always in service of moving forward. If therapeutic or clinical support is needed, I will always advise accordingly.
Is coaching right for me?
Coaching is likely right for you if:
-
You are ready to take ownership of change
-
You are open to honest reflection
-
You are willing to take action between sessions
-
You want structured support rather than advice alone
Coaching works best when you are ready to engage fully in the process.
Who is coaching not for?
Coaching may not be the right fit if:
-
You are looking for someone to tell you exactly what to do
-
You want quick fixes without deeper reflection
-
You are unwilling to be challenged
-
You are currently experiencing acute mental health crisis requiring clinical care
I am always transparent about fit, your wellbeing comes first.
How long does coaching typically last?
This varies depending on your goals. Some clients engage in short, focused work (for example, career positioning or clarity sessions). Others choose a longer-term partnership to support deeper identity or leadership transitions.
We will discuss what makes sense for you during your discovery conversation.
Are sessions online?
Yes. Most sessions are held via Zoom or Google Meet, allowing flexibility and privacy. I also work with clients internationally.
What makes your approach different to other coaches?
Three things:
-
Lived experience of midlife transition.
-
A balance of practical strategy and deep mindset work.
-
Professional credibility (ICF PCC, 1,000+ hours, corporate leadership background).
I create a calm, psychologically safe space where clarity can emerge and action can follow.
